Souvenir Paintings: Artist Biography

Susan Titus

Autumn Windows

The primary intent of my work is to capture memories: I believe in art as a souvenir of potent life experiences. I grew up with internationally collected artist, Vivian Cook (www.viviancookpaintings.com). She taught me to see beauty in nature and translate it into art. I studied art at Humboldt State College as well as the University of California at Berkeley; I have been painting for over 50 years. My work has been exhibited in California (Big Sur, Gilroy, Pacific Grove, Monterey, Salinas) and New York (Manhattan and Long Island). I currently am represented at Strouse and Strouse (www.strouseandstrouse.com), The Valley Art Gallery (www.salinasvalleyartgallery.com), and Manhattan Arts International Online Gallery(www.manhattanarts.com).

My primary themes are landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and flowers. I work in watercolor on paper and on canvas. I also occasionally work with acrylics and pastels.
